Green Economy

AGE has implemented a green economy policy that guides its approach to environmental challenges and climate risks. It contributes to the Company’s vision to provide Safe, Sustainable and Affordable assets that not only improve energy performance but also preserve resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We manage environmental aspects throughout development, and influence all stages of our product life cycles. And since environmentally friendly products are more economical, our customers also benefit.

Combining energy efficiency, innovation and performance

Part of AGE’s business includes creating and delivering sustainable solutions that reduce our impact on the environment and society and enable our customers to maximize the potential of natural resources. To meet this commitment, we continue to develop cutting-edge technology to achieve the best results for our clients’ sustainability objectives.

Some of these solutions include:

  • COgeneration: Where electricity and thermal energy are generated simultaneously, with an average savings of over 30%.
  • TRIgeneration : Where the heat carrier produced by cogeneration can also be utilised to power an absorption chiller which produces chilled water to be used in the cooling system.. This process can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% compared to petroleum.

Conservation of resources

AGE uses technological advances and innovative solutions to minimize the negative impact of our operations on the environment. At the same time, economical use of the most valuable and costly raw materials helps us to ensure the competitiveness sustainably.

AGE is committed to preserving resources and materials as long as possible. Our goal is to stop contributing to landfills. By reusing, regenerating, and recycling products, we sustainably conserve our planet's resources and close material cycles. For this purpose, we develop profitable business models such as refurbishment and energy contracting.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions  (GHG) Cutting

As an environmentally responsible company, AGE understands what is technologically and economically feasible in order to transition to a low carbon energy system in the near future. We assess what technological shifts will be required over the coming years, when to take these steps and the costs involved.

Investments into low-carbon technologies are paying off: they increase our customers’ and our own competitiveness and they help preserve the environment. The advancement of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies has been the focus of AGE. Both the environment and people’s quality of life benefit from this commitment. As do our customers because the associated energy savings can help them slash production costs over time and strengthen their competitiveness.
